20 Kas 20.11.2015 Children Of Curfew-struck Nusaybin Play Games On Streets, While Recent Clashes Kill Three Struck district of Nusaybin in southeastern province of Mardin, children hit streets to play games and recover the damages of the interrupted daily life in the region. The district has been under curfew since Nov. 13, to ease security forces' efforts to "fill in ditches and remove barricades in the streets. While electricity and water cut mark the violence-struck region, children play games with sounds of gunshots, clashes and blasts in the background. A gunshot amid clashes have killed 19-year-old Musur Aslan, on Nov. 19. Two others have died during the escalating violence, as shrapnel pieces killed a woman called Selamet Yeşilmen and a man called Hasan Dal, who has died after a garden wall collapsed over him, hit by a rocket launcher. Meanwhile, the Peoples' Democratic Party Mardin MPs Mithat Sancar, Gülser Yıldırım, Ali Atalan and Erol Dora resume their hunger strike, declared yesterday, at a roadhouse in the district. 27 Ağu 27.08.2015 Excavations Come To End After Grant Runs Short At Cyzicus Site In Cyzicus Ancient Site in Erdek district fo Balıkesir, the 10th round of excavation works to unearth the 2,500-year-old history has been halted after 34 days, due to lack of further grant. Within the excavations, reliefs, architectural ornamentals, figures of humans and eagles, pieces of ceramics have been brought to light, along with a bulk storage known as Pithos, and two wells where marble artefacts had been burned to produce lime, explained Head of excavation works Professor Nurettin Koçhan, from Erzurum Ataturk University. The excavation works were expected to last, in fact, until September 20, with support of a grant of 130,000 liras allocated by Ministry of Tourisme and Culture. The team consisted of two PhD candidates, a research assistant, two masters students, two archaeologists, one epighraph, 16 studens and 17 workers along with workers assigned by the Municipality and Governorate.
